I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to the College of Education’s Center for Collaborative Research and Community Engagement (CCRCE). The Center’s mission is to support the creation of new knowledge through rigorous interdisciplinary research, scholarship, and respectful community engagement in New Mexico and beyond. The Center is committed to improving educational outcomes and holistic development of individuals along a continuum of learning, from birth throughout life. The Center provides a supportive and inclusive environment where faculty, students, and community members can pursue scholarly collaborations and engagement.
The CCRCE’s Research Support Team provides dynamic and robust research support to faculty, staff, and students within the college. This research support includes pre- and post-award research administration, including proposal and budget development. We are happy to assist and support your efforts to generate ideas and networking across campus to pursue interdisciplinary collaborations and new projects. The Center’s Advisory Board is comprised of members across the College and community representatives.
To further ignite these scholarly endeavors and community engaged work, the Center puts forth calls for proposals to support faculty research efforts, faculty travel, graduate student research and travel. We host brown bags, workshops and an annual Research and Community Engagement Showcase.
In FY18 (July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018), we funded 14 OFAC Research Proposals, 32 COE Faculty Travel Proposals, and 11 COE Graduate Student Travel Proposals. The scholarly productivity of the COE Faculty, researchers, and staff is to be commended. Collectively, the COE Faculty published 221 journal articles, books, book chapters, and other scholarly works during the 2016-2017 academic year. During this time period, our COE faculty were awarded 24 grants from federal, state, and foundation funders to support the important work we do both here in New Mexico and beyond.
We look forward to providing continued support to our faculty and students as current research endeavors are enhanced or new ones are explored. The Research Support Team is at your service.
