I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to the College of Education & Human Sciences' Center for Collaborative Research and Community Engagement (CCRCE). The Center’s mission is to support the creation of new knowledge through rigorous interdisciplinary research, scholarship, and respectful community engagement in New Mexico and beyond. The Center is committed to improving educational outcomes and holistic development of individuals along a continuum of learning, from birth throughout life. The Center provides a supportive and inclusive environment where faculty, students, and community members can pursue scholarly collaborations and engagement. We host presentations and panels, workshops, and our annual Research and Community Engagement Showcase.
The CCRCE Research Support Team provides dynamic and robust research support to faculty, staff, and students within the college. This research support includes pre- and post-award research administration, including proposal and budget development. We are happy to assist and support your efforts to generate ideas and networking across campus to pursue interdisciplinary collaborations and new projects. The Center’s Advisory Board is comprised of members across the College and community representatives.
In FY19 (July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019), we funded five OFAC Research Proposals, nine COEHS Graduate Student Travel Proposals, and four Lecturer Travel Proposals. Through the new CCRCE NM Research and Community Engagement Program Initiatives, we awarded one Tier 1 (collaborative research) proposal and three Tier 2 (individual research) proposals. The scholarly productivity of the COEHS Faculty, researchers, and professional staff is to be commended. Collectively, the COEHS Faculty published 264 journal articles, books, book chapters, and other scholarly works during the 2017-2018 academic year. During this time period, our COEHS faculty were awarded 26 grants from federal, state, and foundation funders to support the important work we do both here in New Mexico and beyond.
We look forward to providing continued support to our faculty and students as current research endeavors are enhanced and new ones are explored. The Research Support Team is at your service.
